CJ Bowlers' Abrigo

Hi guys,
It is the time of year to recruit promising JC1 bowlers! Instead of just the Exco running it, we would like to extend it out to the whole club :)

Here are the details:
Orientation 01 CCA Bazaar
Date: 5 Jan (Fri), 3rd day of Orientation
Time: 2.30-5.00p.m.
Venue: Tentatively, the same spot on the Quadrangle
(directly opposite the college flag pole)

Some of the things that we will be keeping (From open house):
1. Bowling Banner
2. Display of Trophies
3. Display of Bowling ball
4. Powerpoint Presentation on Laptop
5. Bowling lane

The rest is up to you!

Here are some of the things you can decide on:
1. Signs for us to wear and walk around
2. Souvenirs to hand out (Attractive for them to wear on themselves, e.g arm/wrist)
3. Ways we can 'colour' ourselves (Hairspray, facepaint..etc.)
4. Ways we can 'colour' our booth.. (Table Cloth, Music.. if there isn't already music playing)

Please put all your ideas up by the 29th of December. (on the tagboard)

NTU Invitational Results

(NOTE: We only had one team participating in this invitational)

CJ posted an overall last in the school rankings, which consisted ALL UNIVERSITIES, ALMOST ALL POLYS, and the other JC being ACJC. HOWEVER, Andy Lim came in 2nd for Mens' Singles.

So CONGRATULATIONS Andy!

DUE TO A PREDICTED LOW ATTENDANCE, THE X'MAS PARTY THIS COMING TUES WILL BE CANCELLED. IT WILL BE MADE-UP BY ANOTHER GATHERING SOMETIME NEXT YEAR, MOST POSSIBLY A NEW YEAR GATHERING.

i know many of you really want to have a bowling gathering, riiigghht??? SO, i'm going to plan an outing somewhere this month and i need the cooperation of you guys, both J1s and J2s (graduates by now), by answering a few questions. please give me a reply by sms, email or msn by 12/12/06 (TUES) so that i can get down to planning ASAP. those of you who are reading this, please pass on the message to the rest to reply me. thanks.

1. do you have anything on between 18/12/06 - 23/12/06? 'cos that's the period of time the gathering is most likely to be held.

2. what would you like to have? (please suggest something that can accomodate a large grp of ppl, eg. DONT suggest movies or stuff like that)

bbq outing? potluck dinner at someone's place?

3. how much are you willing to pay for the gathering if, for eg, we have a bbq?

4. are you interested in volunteering to be in the organising committee for this gathering?
